HOW TO USE AWP IN COUNTER STRIKE

Arctic Weapon or AWP is the most powerfull and accurate weapon in counter strike. Every team has a sniper holding places, supporting team-mates.

One of our core team member Umang Pathania aka "MONGUZZ" found this very interesting AWP guide on wikihow. We are just sharing it to you and made some changes to make it more easier to understand.
Snipers can be really annoying many times as they are at a large distance and capable of one bullet one kill. Basically awper camps at places which are open and a large area is visible from there, but as you get used to one can awp while moving from palce to place making it difficult for opponents to spot him.
Moreover, you need to learn quick scoping. For this one need's a lot of pratice. You just need to memorize the center of the screen as awp cross-hair is not visible and the press right click and left click as quick as you can while aiming at the player.
"Delpan" one of the best awper's CS can have has a versatile movements. He doesn't camps a lot due to quick reflexes gets scores even at short ranges.
There are 2 kinds of AWP-ers. The "jump AWP-ers," and the "normal AWP-ers.". Jump AWP-ers are AWP-ers who jump before taking a shot, such as jumping out of a corner, landing and shooting immediately. It takes people by surprise, but jumping also wastes time. Once you get really good, most people don't jump at all before shooting. Jumping before you shoot makes it a bit harder for the enemy to hit you. On the other hand, normal AWP-ers just zoom in when they see an enemy. If they are running somewhere, they just stop and shoot.

 Another type of shooting is called strafe shooting. To the opponent, it may look like you are walking/running and shooting at the same time. However, this is not the case. What you are really doing is walking/running lets say to the right, and when you see the opponent you IMMEDIATELY stop moving and shoot. If you do this fast enough, you will kill the enemy very fast, and it will look to the enemy like you are walking and shooting at the same time

It's difficult to be an awp master but parctice on awp maps and always have a pistol ready for the close combat as well as for quick movements.

Following this guide, having good reflexes will help you make your palce as an awper in your team.

CREATE COUNTER STRIKE 1.6 SERVER ON LAN AND INTERNET

CS lovers spend hours of their time playing COUNTER STRIKE at home and some even at their work place during free time. Many of us are students and see CS as their future, playing professionally against the best in the game. So as to sharpen your skills you need to pratice with other players not only with bots.
In this tutorial we will create a CS 1.6 server for LAN and Internet.
If you don't have a counter stikr 1.6 buy it from ebay or flipkart or you can download cracked version from  here.
Let's get started!!!
STEP 1:- Go to your steam directory or game folder and open cstrike folder.

hlds.exe

STEP 2:- There you will find a red color icon named "hlds.exe", run that and a popup dialog will appear as show above in the picture.
STEP 3:- Select Counter Strike from the game menu and name to your server.
Now if you are creating a LAN server select LAN option from the NETWORK menu or select INTERNET if you are creating a internet server.
Other settings are simple like max. players and port no. (should be set as default) and RCON password.
STEP 4:- After these settings click on start server.
By now your server will be started and a menu box will appear on your screen.

Click on the main tab and note down the ip address(your ip will be different from that shown in the image) of the server. Distribute it your
friends and ask them to join this server by entering the following command
in there console "connect <ip address>"
From the server menu You can change maps, kick cheaters and hackers, see server's performance
and much more.

Counter strike In-Game strategies

A good Strategy can make a lost game back in your hands whether you are palying CS 1.6, CS:GO or any other game. People at first think that CS is all about aiming and team with best aimers will be the winners. Well saying that is also somewhat true, aim is a big part of this game but it's a team game right? so every member has his contribution and influences the end results.
To make it more clear lets discuss some best teams strategies of Team X, NAVI, NiP. If you've been watching these teams matches you will notice they all have a standard strat. One common strat on de_dust2 for T side after 2nd round will be a 3,2 split. It's not always good to just RUSH into the bombsite.

2 T's will on A double doors spraying and trying to get the site A info. and 3 on cat smoking MID double door so that CT's can't see their movements. One variation would be to have an awp on T spawn scoping between the double doors and might get a frag, but also if positioned earlier T can spot how many of CT's went to the B bombsite. While the 2 T's are peeking or diverting CT's attention on A long T's on cat can flank to A site by throwing flashes and grenades and at the same time T's on the A long will start pushing. CT's will be attacked from two sides and will not be able to hold the site.
Positions should be assigned to players according to what they are good at. Some can be good aimers at long distances and some at close combats, use their abilities or merits.
The whole idea is to keep checking the options you have if you see that their is a strong hold on A then check B site or just nade A site while moving the bomb towards B i.e faking to A. At this situations CT's will think that you are rushing towards A and CT on the A will call their mates for backup and you will get B site without much of resistance.
Make sure that faking not only involve just spams and nades but bodies also, i'm not saying that one should commit a suicide but try to get a frag while faking the rush and even if you die it will convince the opponent that you are rushing to that site. Inform your team-mates about the opponent's defensive positions and manipulate your currnet game positions according to that. A good start by wining the pistol round prove beneficial like you all are able to buy guns and gears but what if you've lost the initial rounds?? That's a decision that can influence your next rounds. As a team you all can buy some small weapons like a powerful deagle but buying that and facing AK's or M4's can't be much beneficial  unless all players are good aimers with deagle. Moreover deagle isn't all that accurate, it's powerfull but still much is like luck that's what i've experienced with it. An alternative to this can be not buying anything or just few nades and trying to get frags which if you get will boost your money for next round and you will have a come back chance.

CONCLUSION

This is just an example of how strategies can be built, you might come up with a different strat that suite's your gameplay. It's all about having that right co-ordination within you team and the above all thirst to learn.

Mouse Configuration for Counter Strike 1.6

Counter Strike 1.6 Mod of half life is one of the most popular first person shooter game in the world. As said First person shooter game it can be easily understood that AIM is one of the most important part of it. Aiming can be made better and better by practicing and it comes with time, effort and dedication. Apart from these three you need to configure your mouse and game in order to make them work at best. Choosing the right gear will be discussed in another post, here we will learn how to remove or control mouse acceleration.

Mouse Configuration

Acceleration is something that a lot of newbies are not aware of. Acceleration increases the speed of your mouse cursor based on the speed you move your mouse. Move your mouse from point X to point Y on screen and observe the distance you moved your mouse on your mouse pad, now do the same thing but move your mouse faster than previous attempt between the same point. You will notice that the second time the distance your mouse covered on the pad is shorter than the first one and pointer is at the same point Y. That is what mouse acceleration do, move the pointer according to the speed you drag your mouse. For a normal user this can be good but for a gamer where every movement can make difference between wining and loosing this can prove fatal.

Follow these simple steps to remove mouse acceleration

1. Go to Control Panel --> Mouse Settings


2. Click on Pointer Options Tab and uncheck the enhance pointer precision box as shown in the picture, then Apply.

 

3. Next step is to configure counter strike.
Go to the counter strike 1.6 shortcut icon right click on that and add following commands in the target box. { -noforcemparms -noforcemaccel -noforcemspd } 

4. Then click on Apply and then on OK.




That's it mouse acceleration is removed start your game and see the difference.
